9. The learners must keep the supervising faculty updated on the progress of the research work.
10. The dissertation must fulfil all the requirements specified in the dissertation guidelines.
11. The dissertation must be submitted on or before the last date notified for submission.
12. The learner must attend a viva voce of the dissertation for the completion of the course.
13. The dissertation will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
a. Relevance of topic under discussion
b. Novelty/originality of the topic
c. Style of presentation
d. Ability to present and defend dissertation (Viva)
Use of relevant research methodology (including literature review, hypotheses, research questions,
and findings)
Format
The Learners should abide by the Specific Guidelines for each Programme in addition to the general
guidelines. The University recommends the following general format for B.A. dissertations in
Sanskrit Language and Literature:
