           Course Objectives



               1. Learner understands definitions of literature and identifies the elements of literature
               2. Learner can summarize the origin and development of Arabic literary criticism from the

                  period of Jahiliyya, Umayyad, Abbasid and the Middle Ages
               3. Learner examines historical contexts for the development of contemporary literary theories

                  and its influence in Arabic Literature
               4. Learner acquaints with the literary thoughts and movements




           Course Outcome
           At the end of the course students will be able to,
